#320 Sugarland - "Shine The Light" from "The Incredible Machine" - An excellent ballad from country band Sugarland.

#319 The Weepies - "They're In Love, Where Am I?" from "Be My Thrill" - A sad indie pop song from The Weepies. It's not as up-tempo as their other songs on the countdown, but it is the highest charting song for the band this year.

#318 Josh Ritter - "Change Of Time" from "So Runs The World Away" - A solid pop song from singer-songwriter Josh Ritter.

#317 Sheryl Crow - "Our Love Is Fading" from "100 Miles From Memphis" - Sheryl's music isn't as popular as it was back in the 90's, but she's still capable of creating great pop / rock music such as this up-tempo rocker from "100 Miles From Memphis".

#316 Free Energy - "Bang Pop" from "Stuck On Nothing" - A fun guitar-driven indie pop song with a style that easily lives up to its title.

#315 Katie Melua - "God On The Drums, Devil On The Bass" from "The House" - A fun pop song with dark undertones.

#314 Titus Andronicus - "And Ever" from "The Monitor" - A short, straight-forward rockabilly-type song, which is very unusual for Titus Andronicus, but still works as a fun two minute blast from a band usually more accustomed to longer, proggier songs.

#313 Metric - "Black Sheep" from "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Soundtrack" - Metric provided the music for The Clash At Demonhead, the band that Scott Pilgrim's ex Envy Adams fronts in the movie. The song is vintage Metric, a band that otherwise didn't release any music in 2010.

#312 Ted Leo And The Pharmacists - "Bottled In Cork" from "The Brutalist Bricks" - Ted Leo is another artist that should be far more successful than he is. Like the Old 97s, it's not just that his music is excellent, but he writes the kind of pop rock songs that are both fun and catchy, yet for some reason, radio doesn't play this kind of music anymore. "Bottled In Cork" is a peppy song with great hooks and some excellent guitar solos.

#311 Asia - "Finger On The Trigger" from "Omega" - Of all bands to produce interesting music in 2010, forgotten 80's prog-rock supergroup Asia has to be the most surprising by far.
