Top 500 Songs Of 2009 - #20-#11

#20 Wilco - "Wilco (The Song)" from "Wilco (The Album)"

#19 The BPA - "Toe Jam" from "I Think We're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat" - At long last, the duet that everyone's been begging for: David Byrne and Dizzie Rascal!

#18 Wolfmother - "New Moon Rising" from "Cosmic Egg" - It's great to see that even the break-up of the original line-up couldn't keep Andrew Stockdale and the remaining members of Wolfmother from making some of the best metal of their generation.

#17 Them Crooked Vultures - "New Fang" from "Them Crooked Vultures"

#16 The Silversun Pickups - "Panic Switch" from "Swoon"

#15 The Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Zero" from "It's Blitz!"

#14 The Temper Trap - "Sweet Disposition" from "Conditions" - aka "that song from (500) Days Of Summer".

#13 Dan Black - "Symphonies" from "Un" - There's an extensive back-story behind the creation of this song, but all I care about is that it's brilliant.

#12 The Dirty Projectors - "Stillness Is The Move" from "Bitte Orca" - The vocals are a little difficult to adjust to, but after you do, it's easy to acknowledge that this is one of the best indie pop songs of the year.

#11 Them Crooked Vultures - "Caligulove" from "Them Crooked Vultures" - Josh Homme provides the Queens-esque vocals while Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones provide the bombast.
